New Stockist: TAMARKIN CAMERA, CT.

In 1984 Tamarkin Camera was born, and began to sell and trade Leica, becoming leaders in the USA in Leica photography, and selling more Leica per square foot than any other dealer in the world.
Stan and his son Dan run Tamarkin with a simple focus: Quality, Service, and Expertise. Each area of which they do not let down. I've bought and sold through them in the past myself, and have always been satisfied working with them.
Located in Connecticut, they are a one stop shop for all things Leica related, selling new as well as used bodies, lenses, and accessories. In 1996 they began their now famous auctions, taking place in New York, Denver, Tucson, Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, and New Haven. In these auctions you can see, and if your pockets are deep enough, bid on some of the rarest photographic equipment around, you're bound to see at least one or two items pop up on blogs all over the internet due to some of the insane prices these pieces reach, and their uniqueness to photographic history.
Some of you may also remember their showroom in New York City, there from 1995 until 2008 when they closed their doors their to be closer to family in CT.

Tamarkin has an almost 30 year reputation built on their knowledge of photography, and their service in providing quality products to photographers worldwide.
I'm proud to announce that Tamarkin will be stocking Tipton & Co.'s photographic specific leather goods, from neck and wrist straps, to whatever else may come down the line in the future. I think its a great fit, and look forward to what's ahead!

Tamarkin has stock in ready to order!
Both neck and wrist straps are in, in a variety of colors and lengths.
Please get in touch with Dan using the information below to order.

Sold Out / Stay Tuned

Thanks to everyone for all the emails!
The first two runs sold out fast...I'm on the road right now but wanted to throw up a quick post.
For now you'll have to wait for the next run to launch to get anything as I'm in production mode and can't take on any other special orders.
The run will be done and products will start going up before December, and will include more strap options as well as other pieces from the label.
I'll post an update when things are getting closer to launch, this round will be in my store as well.
I'm also proud to announce that coming soon you will be able to get straps from Tamarkin Camera, I'll be posting more about this in the near future.
Thanks again.

ORDERS ARE OUT & SO IS MY SPINE

A big thank you to all who helped sell out the Fast Company pop up. It was cool to see some familiar names on the boxes that went out. I hope you all enjoy and use the straps daily. They were made to order, and all signed and numbered for you as part of this special run of 30 straps.

Also, as some of you know, I'm moving a little slowly at the moment due to a recent spinal injury. I appreciate the well wishes, and am still doing what I can from the couch. Excuse any delay in replying to emails etc though, I'm playing a little catchup at the moment.

Fast Company: THE UNITED STATES OF DESIGN

I'm happy to be able to reveal a project that has taken focus over here in the studio. It's been a hustle, and I'm glad that everyone can now see one of the projects that has been going on behind the curtains here.

Each year Fast Company puts out their Master's of Design issue highlighting influential thinkers, artists, designers etc. This year, Fast Company has taken on a more focused approach and has adopted a theme, the current state of American design.
Fast Company Design: The United States Of Design

**(From September 14th through October 14th, you can purchase standard camera straps through the Fab/Fast Company US Design pop-up shop by Clicking Here)**

When they approached me regarding the iPad app, right away I was happy to be a part of what they were planning. I hadn't seen any ideas on paper, or know much about it, but with a heavy focus on U.S. based designers and their products, I was confident it wouldn't disappoint. From what I've seen so far this morning, it hasn't. Below are a few screenshots, and you can download the free app from the iTunes store here: Fast Company: United States of Design App
